House
officers gather to learn, share information More than 225 interns and residents throughout the Partners system attended the fourth annual Partners House Officer Core Curriculum Retreat, held Feb. 27 and 28 at the Holiday Inn on Blossom Street. Faculty from the MGH, BWH, Harvard Medical School, Partners and Children's Hospital came together to share information about a wide variety of topics relevant to patient care and professional career development. Staff gave informative seminars on subjects such as "Giving Patients Bad News," "Residents as Teachers," "Domestic Violence," and "Mapping out a Career Path Post-Residency." The house staff had an opportunity to visit exhibits that offered information about financial planning, global medicine, medical literature on the Internet, Partners benefits, social events in the Boston area and community service opportunities.
