Compassionate Caregiver Award
The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center currently is accepting nominations for the fifth annual Compassionate Caregiver Award, which recognizes Massachusetts caregivers who display extraordinary compassion in caring for patients. Any professional caregiver who interacts directly with patients in any setting is eligible for the award. The winner will receive a $5,000 prize. Nominations will be reviewed by a statewide committee of physicians, nurses, social workers, community health center workers, patient advocates and consumers. Take Our Children to Work Day
The MGH will celebrate Take Our Children to Work Day April 10, from 8 am to 1 pm. All main campus employees' children from 9 to 15 years of age are invited to learn about health care careers at the MGH. Employees must obtain approval from their supervisors and should be able to provide supervision throughout the day's activities. Registration forms can be obtained at Human Resources offices at White 14, 75 Blossom Court, Bulfinch 360 and Clinics 117 or by visiting http://is.partners.org/hr/affiliates/mgh/toctw03.html. MGH 5k Run for Asthma
The MGH will hold its first 5k Run for Asthma May 3. The goal of this event is to raise money to benefit asthma research at the MGH. Sponsors, volunteers and race participants are needed. Backup Child Care Center vacation club
Reservations for the Backup Child Care Center's April School-Age Vacation Club Camp will be taken by phone only March 14, starting at 8 am. The program is offered to employees' children from 6 (completed kindergarten) to 12 years old. Reservations will be taken only for the full vacation week session, and no part-time slots are available. The camp will be held April 22 through 25, 7:30 am to 6 pm. Full payment is due March 28. Harvard University Employee Credit Union elections
Harvard University Employees Credit Union (HUECU) will hold elections for its Board of Directors March 18, from noon to 6 pm at the Roscoe Pound Building, 1563 Massachusetts Ave. in Cambridge. Shuttle service will be provided outside the Jackson Building at 12:05 pm and returning at 1:05 pm, or 1:10 pm returning at 2:10 pm. Employees must show their HUECU membership card and MGH identification badge. For more information, call (617) 726-9228.

Bloodmobile at CNY
