MGHers, Timilty students team up for science fair

A group of MGH employees and James P. Timilty Middle School students recentlydiscovered that working together can bring about some wonderful results. The school's annual science fair, held this year from Feb. 11 through 14, featured MGHers both as judges who appraised the student projects and as mentors who had helped their young charges in preparing them.

Above, a Timilty student explains her project to an MGH judge.

The science fair is the culmination of the efforts of the MGH/Timilty Partnership, organized by MGH Community Benefits. Each year, approximately 500 Timilty students from grades 6 through 8 participate in the fair. MGH employees volunteer their time as mentors and judges from October through February. For more information about the MGH/Timilty Partnership, call (617) 724-3210.
