a helping hand MGH employees received some eager help Feb. 1 as students from East Boston High School visited the hospital for the City of Bostons annual Groundhog Job Shadow Day. The goal of the event was to help students make the connection between classroom and workplace learning, allowing them to observe professionals at work and offer assistance when appropriate. Employees from the MGH Cancer Center, Same-Day Surgery, Office of the President, Neurology/Neurogenetics, Physical Therapy and Medicine participated in the program.
Students Stephanie McArdle and Malissa Choukas, second and third from left, helped out in Same-Day Surgery with Patricia Lynch, RN, and Matthew Powers. |
