Local
students follow their shadow
Ten
motivated high school students from East Boston High School who are
interested in learning about potential careers in the health care field
"shadowed" various MGH employees Jan. 30 during Boston's annual
Groundhog Day Job Shadow Day. Several MGH departments, including the Office
of the President, Patient Care Services and Police and Security, participated
in this year's event.
Job Shadow Day at the MGH is a collaboration between the Boston Private
Industry Council and the MGH Community Benefit Program, which sponsors
Boston public schools partnerships with East Boston High School and the
Timilty Middle School.
The MGH ProTech and Summer Jobs for Youth programs also are a part of
the MGH partnership with East Boston High School. Groundhog Day Job Shadow
Day is supported by the MGH/EBHS partnership and the School Partnership
Initiatives in the MGH Community Benefit Program.
