HOPES seminars
The MGH HOPES (Helping our Patients and Families through Education and Support) program will offer several classes and seminars this month. Drop-in yoga classes will be held each Thursday in February, from noon to 1 pm. Elizabeth Cook, an expressive arts therapist, will hold a class on the healing power of creative expressions Feb. 6, 13 and 20, from 1 to 2 pm. Steve Durant, EdD, of Psychiatry, will hold a drop-in support group for fathers dealing with cancer Feb. 6, 11 am to noon. Mimi Nelson-Oliver hosts an exploration of polarity therapy Feb. 7, noon to 1 pm. All events will be held in the Cancer Resource Room on Cox 1. Seminars and drop-in support groups are free, and no prior registration is required. For more information, call the Cancer Resource Room at 724-1822 or the HOPES program at 72-HOPES.

Black History Month presentation
The Patient Care Service (PCS) Diversity Program will hold a celebration of "The Empowered Presence of Difference,"Feb. 9, 10:30 am to noon, to commemorate the start of Black History Month. Massachusetts Rep. Jarrett Barrios will serve as keynote speaker for the presentation, which also includes the second annual PCS Pinning Ceremony. The program will be held in O'Keeffe Auditorium. All Partners employees are welcome.

Treadwell Library extends hours
The Treadwell Library now will open a half hour earlier, at 8 am on weekdays as of Feb. 5. The library will close at 8 pm Monday through Thursday, and 7 pm Friday. Weekend hours are 10 am to 4 pm Saturday, and 2 to 8 pm Sunday.

MGH video
Employees are invited to view "Making a Difference," a video produced by the MGH Human Resources and Customer Service departments about what it takes to work and thrive at the MGH. The video will be shown Feb. 12, between 10 am and 2 pm, outside the Eat Street Cafe entrance and in the Main Corridor.

New MGH photo service
The MGH Photography Department now is offering an in-house poster printing service. MGHers can send in designs using programs such as PowerPoint, or the Photography staff can design posters and signs for them. The poster service comes at an affordable cost, typically 20 percent less than external sources.
