Charles
Weingarten, MD, of MGH Medicine and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital(SRH),
died Jan. 6 after a long battle with lymphoma.
Weingarten until recently had been director of Primary Care at SRH. He also had previously served as the first medical director at SRH, as assistant chief of MGH Medical Clinics and as chief of Medicine both at McLean Hospital and at Harvard University Health Services.
Weingarten is survived by his wife, Jane; sons, Steven and James; and daughter, Robin. All colleagues and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in Weingarten's honor Feb. 4, at 1 pm in the eighth floor chapel at SRH.
