What's Happening
W-2 distribution information
MGH Payroll is mailing W-2s this week. Employees who do not receive their
W-2s by Feb. 6, should ask their office timekeeper to submit a W-2 replacement
request to Payroll. Replacement W-2s will be processed and mailed on Fridays
at noon. W-2s also can be viewed using PeopleSoft Employee Self Service
at http://ibridge.partners.org/getaccess.
Senior HealthWISE seminar
The MGH Senior HealthWISE program will offer "Memory Loss: Separating
Myth from Reality" Feb. 3, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott Conference
Rooms. Cornelia Cremens, MD, from MGH Senior Health, will discuss what
is normal memory loss, when to be concerned and what to do about it. For

Blood Donor Center activities
The MGH Blood
Donor Center will celebrate National Congenital Heart Defect Awareness
Day Feb. 9 to 13. All MGHers are asked to donate blood to celebrate the
life of every survivor and honor the memory of those who have been lost.
All donors will be able to sign a Valentine's Day card that will be attached
to a stuffed toy and delivered to patients at the MassGeneral Hospital
for Children. Throughout February, all donors will receive a navy blue
long-sleeve T-shirt as a thank you. For more information, call (617) 726-8177.
MGPO special forum
MGH physicians and staff are invited to attend a special Massachusetts
General Physicians Organization (MGPO) forum "IMSuRT Report
Iran Earthquake Rescue Mission," Feb. 11, at 5:30 pm in the O'Keeffe
Auditorium. Susan Briggs, MD, of MGH Surgery and director of the International
Medical Surgical Response Team (IMSuRT), will speak. For more information,

MLK celebration video
Partners is offering a free video of the Celebration of the Legacy of
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., hosted at the MGH, featuring Professor

HOPES seminars
The MGH HOPES (Helping Our Patients and Families through Education and
Support) program will offer several seminars and support groups in February.
Jean O'Toole, PT, MPH, will lead "Lymphedema: Basics and Management"
Feb. 2, from noon to 1 pm. MGH Oncology pharmacists and nurses will lead
"Chemotherapy...What You Should Know" Feb. 4, from noon to 1
pm. "Radiation Therapy... What You Should Know" will be led
by an MGH radiation nurse and a radiation therapist Feb. 6, from noon
to 1 pm. Suzanne Landry, MS, an MGH oncology dietitian, will lead "Nutrition...
What You Should Know" Feb. 6, from 1:30 to 2 pm. All events will
be held in the Cancer Resource Room on Cox 1. Seminars and drop-in support
groups are free, and no prior registration is required. For more information
