Illuminations
brings festive ending to holiday season
The MGH Cancer Center's annual "Illuminations" art exhibit was
a fine ending to the holiday season as visitors to the MGH Hematology/Oncology
Outpatient Unit in the Cox Building were treated to beverages, hors d'oeuvres
and illuminating art work Jan. 7.
Illuminations
is a rotating art exhibit housed in the Cancer Center. Each display —
consisting of pieces submitted by local artists and representing several
artistic disciplines — is featured for one season. Works are selected
for their capacity to educate and inspire, and the exhibit is meant to
provide enlightenment and encouragement to Cancer Center patients, families,
staff and friends.
The current Illuminations artists — including several MGHers —
are: Susan Read Cronin; Michele Dangelo; Jennifer Dorgan; Eileen Doughty;
Diane Eyerman; Brian Higgins; Walter Krawczyk; Claire Kublin; Joan Lebenbaum;
Julie Pepper; Mauny Plum; Mary Poulin; Eric Simmons; and Robert van de
Graaff, whose photograph is shown above.
