In-Vitro Fertilization Unit workshop
The MGH Vincent Memorial In-Vitro Fertilization Unit will sponsor "Psychospiritual Healing of Infertility," a free four-part workshop, Jan. 30 and Feb. 6, 13 and 20, from 5 to 6:30 pm. The workshop — presented by Robert McInnes, MD, a reproductive endocrinologist, and Lucie McInnes, RN — serves as an introduction to energy healing techniques and to teaching, discussion and meditation concerning infertility. Attendance at the first session is a prerequisite for participation in the later sessions, and advance registration is encouraged. To register, or for more information, call (617) 724-3500.

Partners "Internship 2002" program
Partners Human Resources will host "Internship 2002," a 12-week summer program for college students, beginning June 3. Applications now are available for students in their junior and senior years. The program places talented students in research and administrative departments throughout the Partners system. Potential MGH sponsors are encouraged to help bring top students from across the country to Partners. MassGeneral Hospital for Children birthday celebration
MassGeneral Hospital for Children will celebrate its second birthday with a party in the Main Corridor, Jan. 23 at 2 pm. Cake will be served, and all MGHers are invited to stop by. For more information, call Trish Murray at (617) 724-1974.

MGH Nursing Career Expo
The MGH Nursing and Human Resources departments will offer an MGH Nursing Career Expo Jan. 13, from noon to 4 pm in the North and East Garden Dining Rooms. Nursing staff and new graduates are encouraged to meet with nurse managers, nurse educators and human resources staff to discuss career opportunities. The MGH Center for Clinical and Professional Development also will provide two continuing education offerings that day. "Mitral Valve Prolapse – A Case Study" will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, and "Chest Pain: Pulmonary Embolism vs. Angina" will be held from 2 to 3 pm. Nutrition grand rounds
Walter C. Willett, MD, professor of Epidemiology and Nutrition and chairman of the Harvard School of Public Health Department of Nutrition, will present "Controversies and Science: Looking at the Food Guide Pyramid" in a special MGH Nutrition grand rounds Jan. 29.
