Edward Raeke, an MGH employee for the past seven years, recently was promoted to director of Partners Materials Management. He has served as interim director since October.

William Abbott, MD, recently stepped down from his position as chief of the MGH Division of Vascular Surgery. He will continue to perform vascular surgery while temporarily serving as program director for Vascular Surgery and director of the Vascular Surgery Clinical Laboratory. Abbott will pursue a new career in quality management and improvement, and will be involved in the creation of a new MGH Wound Care Clinic. As of Jan. 1, Richard Cambria, MD, of MGH Vascular Surgery, is the new chief of the department.
