  • Macaluso Awards honor expertise
The annual Stephanie M. Macaluso, RN, Expertise in Clinical Practice Awards ceremony has a double meaning for employees in Patient Care Services (PCS). The emotional ceremony pays tribute to the memory of an MGH nurse who embodied the qualities of an expert practitioner, while also honoring current clinicians who have followed in that beloved nurse's footsteps.
  • Quality and safety experts visit MGH
Two leaders of the quality and safety movement in health care recently visited the MGH to discuss with clinicians the future of the movement, as well as the need for systems to help ensure patient safety and access to quality care.
  • If the forecast calls for stormy weather...
With the arrival of the winter season, New Englanders can expect some rough weather. The MGH, however, always remains open, regardless of the weather conditions. As a 24-hour, 365-days-a-year operation, the MGH must provide services to patients during even the worst of storms. The hospital does not have "snow days."
  • The Compliance Helpline
The MGH Compliance Office reminds MGH employees of a special telephone reporting system that is available to report any legal or ethical concerns they may have. The Compliance Helpline is an untraceable telephone line--(617) 726-1446--established so that any employee can confidentially report to the Compliance Office director.
