MGHfC named to best pediatric hospitals list

The MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC) has earned a spot on U.S. News & World Report's annual honor roll of the nation's top pediatric hospitals. The MGHfC is one of the top 30 pediatric hospitals in the nation and one of only two hospitals in New England to earn this distinction. Several individual MGHfC specialties also were named to the list, including respiratory disorders, neonatal care and digestive disorders. The hospitals were chosen based on reputation, mortality rates and care-related measures such as nurse staffing levels and patient volume. The list appears in the June 9 issue of the magazine, which currently is available on newsstands. For more information about the "Best Children's Hospitals' issue, visit www.usnews.com.
