Treats for blood donors

On Fridays during the month of March, the MGH Blood Donor Center will offer donors a free lunch catered by area restaurants as part of its annual "Taste of the Town" promotion. Lunch will be served from noon to 3 pm, and employees who donate earlier in the day will receive a coupon to return for the meal. All employee donors also will receive their choice of a $5 gift card redeemable at any MGH cafeteria or a free parking pass for the garage at the TD Banknorth Garden.

The Blood Donor Center is located in the Gray Lobby and is open for whole blood donations Tuesday through Thursday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The center is open for platelet donations Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 am to 5 pm, and Friday, from 8:30 am to 3 pm. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments are encouraged.
