Complex trait genetics course
The MGH Clinical Research Program, in collaboration with the MGH Center for Human Genetic Research and the Broad Institute at Harvard and MIT, is offering "A Primer on Complex Trait Genetics: Basic Principles for the Beginning Investigator" March 5, from 8:30 am to 4 pm in the Simches Center, Room 3110. Career Development Session
MGH Training and Workforce Development will host the fourth annual Career Development Session Feb. 22, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Lower Amphitheater on Clinics 1. Employees will be able to learn about a variety of careers during 30-minute presentations. The following is a schedule of presentations: respiratory care at 10:30 am, nursing at 11 am, medical technologists at 11:30 am, surgical technologists at noon, medical coding at 12:30 pm, medical assistants at 1 pm, financial aid at 1:30 pm and medical imaging at 2 pm. Ash Wednesday schedule
On Feb. 21, MGH Chaplaincy will host the following Ash Wednesday services: Roman Catholic masses will be held at 11 am and 4 pm, and an ecumenical service will be held at 12:15 pm. All services will take place in the MGH Chapel on Ellison 1. Ashes will be available in the Chapel from 9 am to 5 pm, as well as at CNY, the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, the Schraft Center and the Charlestown, Revere and Chelsea HealthCare Centers. Every effort will be made to bring ashes to each patient floor once between 8 am and 4 pm. For more information, call (617) 726-2220.

Senior HealthWISE events
The MGH Senior HealthWISE lecture series will host "Aging Well in Mind, Body and Spirit" Feb. 22, from 11 am to noon in the Haber Conference Room. Ann Webster, PhD, of the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at MGH, will present. Senior HealthWISE also will offer hypertension screenings and blood pressure checks Feb. 26, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the West End Library. Both events are free for seniors age 60 years and older. Burn Unit benefit
A benefit performance of "Joey and Maria's Comedy Italian Wedding" and buffet dinner will be held March 23 at 7 pm at the Florian Hall in Dorchester. Tickets are $50 per person and $500 for a table of 10. All proceeds will benefit the MGH Burn Unit in memory of Joseph Conti, Jr. For more information or tickets, call Kristen DiBona at (617) 861-7542.
