Gifts
from the heart
The treatment area of the Francis H. Burr Proton Therapy Center was filled
with holiday spirit as Carina Comer, a 14-year-old former patient at the
MassGeneral Hospital for Children, delivered boxes overflowing
with board games, trucks, dolls and other toys for the enjoyment of children
receiving treatment at the center. The gift delivery has become an annual
tradition for Carina, who raises money for the presents throughout the
year by holding bake and tag sales. This year she raised $4,000 to purchase
the treats for the children. At right,
