A.B.L.E. awards outstanding MGHers
Four MGH employees were selected as the recipients of the Outstanding
Worker Award given by Operation A.B.L.E. (Ability Based on Long Experience)
and the Massachusetts Chapter of the AARP. Each fall, the two organizations
team up to recognize the state's best employees age 50 and older who go
the extra mile, take the time to train and mentor others, have a wealth
of knowledge to share and are expert problem solvers. The MGH honorees
are Jim Moore of Buildings and Grounds; Barbara Mahoney, RN, of Patient
Care Services; John Donovan of Materials Management and Walter Guralnick,
MD, of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
"This
award is well deserved by these four employees, who are role models for
every MGHer of what it means to be an exceptional employee," says
Jeff Davis, senior vice president for Human Resources. "I'm particularly
proud that our winners this year represent different areas of the hospital,
which shows that good employees can succeed in many types of roles here
at the MGH."
