MGH Heart Center Nursing Week
In honor of Cardiac Nursing Week, the MGH Heart Center will host the lecture
"Evidence-Based Prodromal and Acute Symptoms of Myocardial Infarction
in Women" June 22, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium.
Jean McSweeney, RN, PhD, FAAN, of the University of Arkansas, will present.
A poster session showcasing cardiac nursing practice also will be held
June 22, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the Main Corridor.
Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will sponsor a screening of the film "Walk
the Line" June 22, from 2:30 to 5 pm in the Haber Conference Room.
Registration is required, and snacks will be provided. Senior HealthWISE
also will offer free hypertension screenings and a discussion about self-management
strategies June 26, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the West End Public Library,
151 Cambridge St., Boston. For more information or to register for the

Wellman Center lecture
The Wellman Center for Photomedicine will host "Photodynamic Therapy:
Treating Cancer and Beyond" June 20, from 2:15 to 3:15 pm in the
Thier Conference Room. A coffee reception will be held at 2 pm. Stuart
K. Bisland, PhD, of the University of Toronto, will present. To see a
