Students
explore health care careers
Middle school students participating in the Big Sisters program at the
Edwards Middle School in Charlestown visited the MGH for a career awareness
day June 6. Their day started with a tour of the hospital — which
included a trip to the helipad — followed by a question and answer
session with Patricia Scott, RN, of Ellison 17. The girls also explored
the Emergency Department with Alasdair Conn, MD, chief of MGH Emergency
Services, as their guide. The day concluded with a visit to the MGH Public
Affairs Office, where the students learned about careers in media relations
and internal communications.
