Abstracts for Women's Health Research Celebration
The MGH Women's Health Research Committee currently is accepting abstracts for the third annual Women's Health Research Celebration to be held Oct. 4. The deadline for submissions is July 7. Abstracts may be submitted online at intranet.massgeneral.org/WHCC/index.htm. Abstracts submitted or presented to local or national meetings within the last year are eligible. Men's Cancers Awareness Fair
The MGH Cancer Center will host a Men's Cancers Awareness Fair June 16, from 10 am to 2 pm in the Bulfinch Tent. For more information, contact Tara Becker at tabecker@partners.org.

Workspace organization seminar
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will sponsor "Organize Your Workspace for Success" June 15, from noon to 1 pm in the Thier Conference Room. Professional organizer Cristin Lind will teach participants how to effectively organize their workspaces to reduce stress, project a professional image and be more in control of paper and information. Julie Fund Walk-a-Thon for MGH Cancer Center
The Julie Fund for Women's Cancers will hold its first 5K walk June 17, at Artesani Park in Brighton, Mass. Registration will begin at 8:30 am, and the walk will begin at 9 am. Proceeds from the event will benefit cancer programs and research at the MGH. For more information, visit www.juliefund.org.

World Blood Donor Day
In honor of World Blood Donor Day June 14, the MGH Blood Donor Center invites all members of the MGH community to donate blood on an ongoing basis. World Blood Donor Day acknowledges individuals who donate blood on a regular basis. The Blood Donor Center is located in the Gray Lobby and is open for whole blood donations Tuesday through Thursday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Walk-ins are welcome. Backup Childcare Center summer programs
The MGH Backup Childcare Center will host the June Vacation Club June 19 through 30. The center also will hold Summer Fun Days July 3 through Aug. 18. The schedule for Summer Fun Days is: Monday, arts and crafts day; Tuesday, science day; Wednesday, trips around Boston; Thursday, water day; and Friday, cooking day. Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host a one-hour exercise session, "Spring Into Fitness" June 19, from 11 am to 1 pm at The Clubs at Charles River Park. Lunch will be served. Registration is required by June 16. The Senior HealthWISE lecture series will host "Reading Food Labels" June 19, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Hill House, 127 Mt. Vernon St., Boston. Cheryl Wall, RN, will discuss tips on understanding food labels and how to choose healthy options. New Office for Visitor Education Programs
The MGH and MGPO announce the pilot of the new Office for Visitor Education Programs (VEP). The VEP will act as a centralized office to organize and facilitate tours, observerships, customized information sessions and consultations and on-campus seminars and conferences.
