Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host free hypertension screenings and a discussion
May 22, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the West End Library and May 24, from
1:30 to 2:30 pm at the West End Civic Association Community Room at One
Emerson Place. Cheryl Wall, RN, BSN, will lead both groups. The Senior
HealthWISE lecture series will host "Glaucoma" May 23, from
11 am to noon in the Walcott Conference Rooms, with guest speaker James
Hung, MD, of Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. For more information, call

POPPS fair
MGH Police and Security and Outside Services, Photography and Parking
(POPPS) will host a crime prevention and safety fair May 25, from 11 am
to 2 pm at the CNY 149 Atrium. This year's theme is "Protecting You
in This Changing World" and will include information on management
of aggressive behavior, identity theft, crime prevention and safety for
all ages. Employees will be available to offer information and answer
questions about each department's programs and services.
Wellman Center lecture
The Wellman Center for Photomedicine will host "Going for the Nucleus:
A PDT Story" May 30, from 2:15 to 3:15 pm in the Thier Conference
Room. A coffee reception will be held at 2 pm. To see a complete schedule

Clinical pastoral education fellowships
The Kenneth B. Schwartz Center and the MGH Department of Nursing are offering
fellowships for the 2007 MGH Clinical Pastoral Education Program for health
care providers. Fellowships are open to clinicians from any discipline
who work directly with patients and families. The part-time program meets
Mondays, from 8:30 am to 5 pm beginning Jan. 8, 2007. The deadline for
fellowship applications is Sept. 1. For more information, call the Chaplaincy

Ascension Thursday mass schedule
MGH Chaplaincy will celebrate Ascension Thursday masses May 24, at 4 pm
and May 25, at 11 am and 4 pm. All services will take place at the Chapel
located on Ellison 1 across from the MGH Gift Shop.

MGH Public Affairs has moved from 165 Charles River Plaza to 50 Staniford
St., eighth floor, Suite 830. Phone numbers remain the same. The main

MGH Revere HealthCare Center road race
The MGH Revere HealthCare Center will host its annual road race and three-mile
walk June 17. Registration is at 7:15 am. The road race begins at 8:30
am, the walk at 9 am and the children's race at 10 am. Online registration
is available at www.coolrunning.com/major/06/reveremoves.
