The spirit of giving

During this time of year, many religious holidays are celebrated with a gift-giving tradition. In the spirit of the giving season, MGHers recently donated toys and presents to families served by the hospital's HAVEN (Hospitals Helping Abuse and Violence End Now) program. The Patient Care Services Diversity Steering Committee coordinated the annual gift-giving event held Dec. 15, while volunteers from throughout the hospital helped to collect, organize and distribute the gifts. Hundreds of gifts were collected — four truckloads in fact — to support nearly 100 families with items from their wish lists.
