Computer training classes

Biostatistics course
The MGH Clinical Research Program and the Mallinckrodt General Clinical Research Center are sponsoring "Basic Biostatistics for Clinical Investigators" Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, from 3:30 to 5 pm in the Richard B. Holiday songfest
The MGH Chaplaincy will host a holiday songfest Dec. 22, from noon to 1 pm in the Main Corridor in front of the Blum Patient and Family Learning Center. Musicians and singers interested in participating should call (617) 726-2220.

Eldercare discussion group
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will host the final session of its eldercare monthly discussion group Dec. 20, from noon to 1 pm in the Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care in the J. Doerr Conference Center, 10th floor, Room 10640. Topics will include making decisions for the next steps of care, evaluating the quality of care and strategies for helping older adults accept help. Northeastern nursing courses
Beginning the week of Jan. 9, Northeastern University will offer at the MGH the spring semester nursing courses "Health Care Systems" and "Advanced Pathophysiology." An information session will be held Dec. 19, from 1 to 4 pm in the Main Corridor. Those interested in special student status should bring to the session a current state nursing license in a sealed envelope with college transcript and a $50 registration fee. MGH Chaplaincy holiday services
The MGH Chaplaincy will host the following holiday services: Chanukah will be celebrated at the regular pre-Shabbat service Dec. 30 at 11 am; a Protestant Christmas Day service will be held Dec. 25 at 1 pm; regularly scheduled Roman Catholic masses will be held Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1 at 4 pm; and a Buddhist meditation will take place Jan. 1 at 5:30 pm. All holiday services will be held in the MGH Chapel on Ellison 1.
