Timilty
students enjoy Partners
IMAX®
film
Students from the Timilty Middle School were among more than 300 Boston
Public Schools students who were on hand at the world premiere of the
Partners-produced IMAX format film, Wired to Win, Surviving the Tour
de France, held Dec. 1 at the Museum of Science in Boston. The film,
which showcases the workings of the human brain, is part of a Partners
effort to excite kids about science. Also in attendance were MGH neuropathologist
Matthew Frosch, MD, who advised the filmmaking team on the science of
the brain, and MGH nurse Catherine O'Malley, RN, a Boston Public Schools
graduate, who talked to the students about the possibilities of careers
in science and health. At the premiere, Partners and the Museum of Science
donated 50,000 free tickets to the film for Boston Public School students.
The film debuted to the general public at the museum Dec. 9, and will
open worldwide in January. Stay tuned for details about special screenings
for Partners employees.
