MGHers walk for a cause close to their hearts

More than 130 MGHers donned their sneakers and MGH T-shirts Sept. 17 despite the threat of inclement weather to participate in the Boston Heart Walk. The MGH team raised more than $40,000 to help increase awareness and money for cardiac care and research for the American Heart Association (AHA). MGH research efforts received more than $3.1 million from the AHA this past year, with grants awarded to the Cardiology Division, as well as to the departments of Medicine, Radiology and Dermatology.
