Stewart Memorial Scholarship applications
available
Applications now are being accepted for the Clifford D. Stewart III Memorial
Scholarship Award. The scholarship was named in memory of Clifford Douglas
Stewart III, who spent 20 years building at the MGH for Walsh Brothers
Construction Co. and passed away at the age of 47 in 1999. The scholarship
allows employees of the MGH, Walsh Brothers or other contractors working
at the MGH to further their education in the construction industry by
taking college courses or construction trade courses.
During the past five years, recipients of this award (shown below)
have completed two masters' degrees, one Bachelor of Science degree in
Construction Management, a Construction Management certificate and HVAC
or Electricians exam preparation courses. Applications are available at
the MGH Planning and Construction Office located at the West End House,
second floor, and Buildings and Grounds in the Gray sub-basement, or by
calling (617) 724-3580. The deadline to submit nominations is Aug. 31.
