Joan Fitzmaurice, RN, PhD, of the MGH Office of Quality and Patient Safety, presented a paper to the International Conference on Healthcare Systems Ergonomics and Patient Safey in Florence, Italy March 31. The paper, "Building a High Reliability Organization Through a Multi-method Approach to Monitoring the Practice Environment," was co-authored by George Reardon, Cy Hopkins, MD, Carrie Mazoff, Carol Markus, RN, and Linda Devaux.
