In General Chin Hur, MD, MPH, of the MGH Gastrointestinal Unit, recently was awarded a medical research grant from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the ASGE Foundation. The MGH was among 11 grant recipient institutions out of the 31 applicants reviewed by ASGE Research Committee for research project funding. Kimberly Kelly, PhD,
of MGH Radiology, and Sarah Thayer,
PhD, of MGH Surgery, were each awarded a grant by the
Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. A total of seven
grants were awarded to talented researchers at major cancer institutions
to provide them with resources to explore ways to improve the diagnosis,
treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer. |
