Homecoming: MGH Project HOPE team returns

Members of the MGH team traveled to Southern Asia to provide medical care for the victims of the tsunami disaster as part of the Project HOPE relief mission returned home to Boston this past weekend with life-changing stories they will not soon forget. Arriving on three different flights Feb. 25 and 26, the 40 exhausted team members were greeted at Logan Airport by family members and friends eager to see them.

As the first team returned home, a group of 30 more MGHers left last week to replace their colleagues on the Navy hospital ship USNS Mercy, which has served as the home base for the clinicians.

Jane Kimbrough, RN, second from right, gets a warm greeting at Logan Airport.
