MGH and McLean named
Tufts providers The MGH and McLean Hospital have been selected as a combined designated facility for mental health and substance abuse treatment under the Tufts HMO and Tufts Total Health Plans. Approximately 20,000 Tufts HMO patients with primary care physicians at the MGH or BWH now can receive inpatient, acute residential and partial-hospital mental health and substance abuse services at the MGH and McLean. "This contract enables us to demonstrate our ability not only to manage care responsibly but also to deliver superior clinical service," says McLean's Joseph Flores, MD, newly appointed medical director for the MGHMcLean plan. Since July, dozens of Tufts patients have received mental health or substance abuse services at the MGH and McLean. "This contract is particularly exciting because it represents an opportunity to provide care to Tufts members and coordinate that care with their primary care physicians at the MGH and BWH," says Anthony Trachta, director of Partners Network Development. |
