Results of statewide patient satisfaction survey released
The MGH joined 51 hospitals and health systems voluntarily participating in the country's first statewide project designed to measure patients' views of their hospital experience and report the results to the public.

United Way raffle helps others in need
The MGH United Way campaign has begun, and employees who make pledges are eligible for a raffle drawing that includes such prizes as a day of earned time, hotel accommodations and a month of hospital valet parking.

Patient Care Services celebrates collaborative governance

In Memoriam: Dennis Thomson of BWH
Dennis Thomson, vice president for Public Affairs at BWH, died Nov. 10 after a battle against cancer. He was 49.

	Spaulding names new president John Cupples has been named the next president of Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, where he is expected to begin in early December.

	Volunteers needed for Hurricane Mitch relief In Massachusetts, the American Red Cross and a coalition of other agencies have mounted a relief effort and have gathered huge amounts of food, water, medicines and other supplies.
