cardiologist helps NASA space flight
Paul Huang, MD, PhD, of MGH Cardiology, had a special interest in the recent landing
of the space shuttle Endeavour. Huang joined a research team at the landing to investigate
the changes in blood pressure regulation of astronauts in space flight.

John B. "Jack" Penney Jr., MD, a
neurologist at the MGH, and a world-renowned researcher in Parkinson's and Huntington's
diseases, died suddenly of a heart attack Jan. 31 at the age of 51.

campaign success
The 1998 United Way campaign at the MGH
succeeded in raising more than $140,000 a 27 percent increase from last year
to help benefit the many services and programs funded by the United Way.
