  • Balancing a research career and family life
    Nadia Carlesso, MD, PhD, and Karen Miller, MD, have never met, but they have a lot in common. Both are successful physicians, both are working diligently to establish their research careers and both are striving to balance their full-time jobs at the MGH and their full-time jobs as mothers of young children.
  • Durante Awards honor staff
    In recognition of their compassion, enthusiasm and commitment, Joanne LaFrancesca, RN, and MacCallum "Mac" Moore, an ambassador, received the first Susan and Arthur Durante Awards for Exemplary Care and Service with Cancer Patients March 31 in the Wellman Conference Room.
  • Pretax MBTA pass deductions implemented
    Because of recently enacted federal legislation, MGH and Partners employees now can benefit from a pretax payroll deduction for their MBTA pass purchases.
  • Race and care focus of rounds
    It was standing room only at the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center Rounds March 26, as MGHers gathered to discuss race and the patient-caregiver relationship.
  • A new focus in the MGH Photography Department
    The MGH Photography Department is embarking on a new initiative in the application of photo technology to meet the current needs of MGHers. With the recent acquisition of digital imaging equipment, the Photography Department now is able to process and provide custom digital scanning, slides and prints.
