Pamela J. Ellis award honors excellence on Secretary's Day

Mary Bozzi, secretary of the Mental Health/Social Service Unit at MGH·Charlestown HealthCare Center, received this year's Pamela J. Ellis Memorial Secretarial Award presented at MGH's Secretary's Day luncheon April 22 beneath the Bulfinch Tent.

Bozzi was one of this year's 76 employees nominated for the award, which was established in memory of Pamela J. Ellis, executive secretary at the MGH, who died in October 1996.

James J. Mongan, MD, president of the MGH, presented Bozzi with the award and thanked the entire clerical staff, which he described as one of the hardest working groups throughout the institution. "You are the brains behind many operations, making our jobs easier," he said. "In the many roles you play, all of you are dedicated to the people you are serving, whether they are patients or other staff."
