  • Caring for the tiniest of babies
    In the MGH's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), lighting is low and nurses speak in hushed voices as they rock the tiniest of babies in their arms. Now nurses in the NICU are doing something more: taking many of their cues from the infants themselves.
  • Expanding options for patients with cervical cancer
    In an effort to expand fertility options for women, a trio of physicians at the MGH Vincent Memorial Obstetrics/Gynecology Service has offered women with early cervical cancer the possibility of having their own children through in vitro fertilization (IVF).
  • The MGH's family of champions
    From the starting field in Hopkinton, up and over Heartbreak Hill, down Beacon Street, past the landmark CITGO sign and finally to the Boylston Street finish line – more than 55 individuals from throughout the MGH family ran in the Boston Marathon April 19.
  • MGH trustee receives philanthrophy award
    Jane Claflin, honorary trustee of the MGH, received the 1999 New England Association for Healthcare Philanthropy award for Distinguished Service to Philanthropy, at the organization's annual award luncheon April 12 in Newport, RI.
  • Job Shadow Day
    The MGH/Timilty Partnership seeks MGHers to host seventh graders from the James P. Timilty Middle School in Roxbury for Job Shadow Day, May 18, 9 am to 1:30 pm.
