While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads ...

'Twas the week before Christmas when young patients of the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Unit at MassGeneral Hospital for Children gathered with their families and caregivers to celebrate this special season. The eighth annual holiday party was held Dec.15 at the Holiday Inn with more than 100 youngsters -- including patients and their siblings -- enjoying a fun-filled day with food, music, face painting, gingerbread cookie decorating, entertainment by a clown troupe and, of course, a visit from Santa. All of the fun was made possible by donations from the Holiday Inn, Friends of the MGH Cancer Center, Friendly's Ice Cream and private donors.
