Classic holiday tale raises money for MGH children

Popular illustrator Mary Engelbreit recently made a personal appearance at a local department store in Downtown Crossing to autograph copies of her latest book in the spirit of the holiday season and to raise money for the MGH.

Engelbreit visited Filene's Department Store Dec. 6 to autograph copies of her new illustrated version of the Clement Moore holiday classic, "The Night Before Christmas." All proceeds from the event will go directly to MassGeneral Hospital for Children.
Engelbreit is well known throughout the publishing world for her colorful and intricate designs that adorn children's books and more than 14 million greeting cards sold each year.

Engelbreit's version of "The Night Before Christmas" will be on sale at Filene's until Christmas.

Above, Engelbreit autographs a book for Alan Ezekowitz, MBChB, DPhil, chief of Pediatrics for MassGeneral Hospital for Children.
