What's Happening

Reminder from Police and Security
MGH Police and Security would like to remind employees, patients and visitors to help prevent theft by not leaving their valuables unsecured in the hospital or in plain view in their vehicles. According to Police and Security staff, although the crime rate is down throughout the hospital, preventable thefts continue to occur. In the past year, 95 percent of stolen items were left unattended in open or unlocked drawers or out in the open in high-traffic areas. These thefts were preventable. The Police and Security staff want to ensure the MGH remains a safe place and need the assistance of everyone at the hospital to do so. Take the time to protect valuables by locking doors to offices and/or desk drawers and limit access to expensive equipment and personal property. If something or someone seems suspicious, call Police and Security at (617) 726-2121.
