MGH recognizes employee excellence

The WACC Lobby overflowed with MGH employees, family and friends Dec. 5 as 247 individuals and 58 MGH teams — a total of 1,900 employees — were honored and rewarded for their outstanding contributions at the eighth annual Partners in Excellence Awards ceremony. Peter L. Slavin, MD, president of MGH, congratulated the recipients and personally thanked them for the work they do. "The Partners in Excellence Awards have become a coveted honor given by colleagues and friends. The people who receive this award have touched the lives of their coworkers, patients and their families," said Slavin.

Along with Slavin, James J. Mongan, MD, president and CEO of Partners, and Jeff Davis, senior vice president for Human Resources, expressed their gratitude to this year's recipients. "You've helped us realize the success of Partners," Mongan said. The ceremony concluded with the much-anticipated Partners in Excellence video "Partners in X-O lence," a parody of the television gameshow Hollywood Squares.
