United
Way campaign extended The MGH United Way campaign will be extended so that MGHers can make donations through Dec. 29. Many MGHers have already donated to the campaign, which raised $160,000 during October and November. Many employees also contributed their time as department representatives and campaign committee members, organizing teams and volunteering in the hospital's effort to raise funds to help people who benefit from United Way services. "It is heartening to see how many MGH employees have contributed in so many ways to the MGH United Way campaign," says James J. Mongan, MD, president of the MGH. "As a member of the greater Boston community, it is important that the hospital participate in the United Way's effort to improve the quality of life for children and families in our community. Many thanks to all MGH employees and staff who played a role in this effort." Completed pledge cards can be sent to Catherine Laughlin, Budget Office, Bulfinch 380. To get a blank pledge card, call Nancy Marttila at 724-3055. For more details, see the MGH/United Way web site at http://www.mgh.harvard.edu/DEPTS/pubaffairs/UnitedWay/UWhome.htm. |
