  • Y2K The Emergency Department is ready
    To make sure the MGH is ready for almost anything that the millennium may bring, the MGH Emergency Department has been planning for the past year and a half with the MGH Y2K and Disaster Planning committees, as well as the Conference of Boston Teaching Hospitals Disaster Committee.
  • On the brink of BBA relief
    Last week, Congress moved closer to passage of a Balanced Budget Act (BBA) relief package that could provide up to $17 billion worth of relief nationally. Approximately $8.75 billion of the total relief package will go to hospitals.
  • MGH Revere Cares receives White House endorsement
    Revere CARES, a community coalition to fight substance abuse that is supported by the MGH Community Benefit Program and the MGH Revere HealthCare Center, recently received a grant from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and the U.S. Department of Justice under the Drug Free Communities Program.
  • Partners in Excellence awards ceremonies
    MGHers are invited to join James J. Mongan, MD, MGH president; Samuel O. Thier, MD, president and CEO of Partners; and Jeff Davis, MGH senior vice president for Human Resources, in congratulating individual and team recipients of the Partners in Excellence Awards, Dec. 8, 4 pm in the WACC Lobby.
