Families, friends and caregivers of MGH pediatric patients gathered for the 10th annual Pediatric, Neonatal and Obstetric Memorial Service Nov. 4.

The special ceremony was sponsored by MassGeneral Hospital for Children's Comfort and Support After Loss bereavement team. The event is meant to provide comfort and support to those who have experienced the death of a child. In remembrance of those they lost, families who attended received decorated candles and pewter heart keepsakes. The service included poetry readings by family members, presentations by MGH staff, and musical performances by the St. Florence Choir and the Wakefield Repertory Theatre.
