  • MGH receives award for making commuting less stressful
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, Bostonians spend an average of 67 hours a year sitting in traffic. Because the MGH is committed to making commuting as stress free as possible, the hospital was recognized as one of New England's Best Workplaces for Commuters Oct. 30 at a press conference held by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
  • Employee benefits open enrollment begins
Open enrollment will be held at the MGH Nov. 3 to 23 for weekly and monthly paid employees. Open enrollment is the one time of year when benefits-eligible employees can enroll, change or add family members to their benefit plan. All additions and/or changes to the benefit plan will be effective Jan. 1, 2004.

They honed their skills through the MGH Administrative Fellowship Program, which is one of the most prestigious administrative health care training opportunities in the United States.
