What's Happening Breastfeeding seminar
The Employee Assistance Program
is sponsoring "Working and Breastfeeding: Returning to Work and Maintaining your Milk
Supply," Nov. 2, 1 to 2 pm, VBK 401. Germaine Lambergs, RN, an MGH lactation
consultant, will teach expectant and nursing mothers how to use breast pumps and maintain
an adequate milk supply while working. There also will be a discussion session. Lunches

Brain Aneurysm Foundation annual dinner
MGHers are invited to the fourth annual dinner and silent auction to benefit the Brain
Aneurysm Foundation Nov. 6, 6:30 to 11:30 pm at the Swissôtel, One Avenue de Lafayette,
Boston. Tickets are $50 per person, and there will be a cash bar, buffet dinner, music and

Physical therapy panel
The Department of Physical Therapy will present a Physical Therapy Month lecture,
"Preparation of the Future of Physical Therapy and Implications of the Doctorate of
Physical Therapy," Oct. 28, 4:30 to 6:30 pm, O'Keeffe Auditorium. The panel will
focus on a new doctorate degree being offered to physical therapy students. Speakers
include Michael Sullivan, MBA, PT, director of MGH Physical Therapy; Leslie Portney, PhD,
PT, of the MGH Institute of Health Professions; Ann Jampel, PT, of MGH Physical Therapy;
and representatives from Simmons College and the University of Vermont.
Breast Cancer Awareness Fair
The Gillette Center for Women's Cancers at the
MGH will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Fair, Oct. 29, 9 am to 2 pm in the Main Lobby.
Information about detection, prevention and treatment of breast cancer will be available.
Lifetime Television and Cablevision are sponsoring the event.
Smoking cessation program
The MGH Quit Smoking Service will
offer an eight-week group program beginning Nov. 3, 5:30 pm. Topics include information
about nicotine replacement and Zyban, preparation for quitting, coping with stress without
cigarettes, preventing weight gain and relapse prevention. A telephone support line is
