"The excellence of the MGH directly reflects the excellence of its employees," said James J. Mongan, MD, MGH president, at the Ether Day celebration Oct. 15. More than 1,500 employees were recognized for their length of service to the MGH. MGHers gathered under the Bulfinch tent to enjoy refreshments and honor those who have spent a considerable part of their lives working at the hospital. Representing those who had given 60 years to the MGH was Daniel Ellis, MD. "Looking at Dr. Ellis has caused us to begin designing a 70-year pin," said Jeff Davis, senior vice president for Human Resources.
