Laura L. Norling, MD, of MGH Pediatrics, died Sept. 13 after a lengthy illness.

Norling earned her medical degree from Ohio State University in 1978. In 1994, she joined Pediatric Nephrology at the MGH as assistant in Pediatrics, and assistant professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School.

A fund has been established in her memory at the MGH. Donations may be sent to Trish Cudihy, MGH Development Office, 100 Charles River Plaza, Boston, MA 02114.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Owen, and her son Matt.

A memorial service will be held Oct. 9 at 2 pm, Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church, 106 Walnut St., Natick, MA 01760.
