Domestic violence support group
The Employee Assistance Program will offer a 10-week education and support group for all Partners female employees who have been affected by domestic violence in past or current relationships. The group will meet Thursdays starting Oct. 14, from 4:30 to 6 pm. The location will be given to employees at the time of registration.

CRP seminar series
The Clinical Research Program (CRP) will sponsor "Educating the Public About Clinical Research" Oct. 13, from noon to 1 pm in the Wellman Conference Room. Ken Getz, of the Center for Information and Study on Clinical Research Participation, will speak about understanding how prospective volunteers learn about and view the clinical research enterprise. The CRP and the Human Research Committee will sponsor "IRB Issues for Bench and Desk Scientists" Oct. 13, from 4 to 5 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. POPPS fair
Police, Security, Outside Services and Photography (POPPS) will host its annual Crime Prevention and Safety Fair "Protecting You In This Changing World" Oct. 14, from 11 am to 3 pm under the Bulfinch Tent. A variety of demonstrations, displays and tables will feature topics such as crime prevention, community policing, safety tips for all ages and Internet safety.

Case Management Week
The MGH will celebrate Case Management Week Oct. 12 to 16. A case management information table will be located in the Main Corridor Oct. 12 and 14, from 8 am to 4 pm. Brochures about the department, commonly asked questions about post-acute
services and Medicare information will be available. The third annual Case Management Variety/Change Show will be held Oct. 14 at 3 pm in the Meltzer Auditorium at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. New Employee Business Expense policy
Partners has instituted a new Employee Business Expense policy for all employees at Partners and its affiliates. The policy replaces the former Partners Travel and Entertainment Policy. The policy and forms can be found at

Calling all marathon runners
Marathoners interested in running the 2005 Boston Marathon to raise money for the MGH should call Chris Lojko at (617) 724-2818 or Jeanmarie Hosey at (617) 724-6410. Interested runners must be in good physical condition and willing to meet the minimum fundraising commitment.
