  • Prenatal expertise at MGH and Mass General West
    When Laura Hajdukiewicz was 16 weeks pregnant in April, she received some good news and some bad news. The good news was that she was pregnant with a girl, which came as a pleasant surprise because Hajdukiewicz already had two little boys. The bad news was that her baby had contracted a viral infection.
  • LADDERS program brings hope to patients with learning disabilities
    For years, children and adults suffering from learning and developmental disabilities often had few options for comprehensive care and met with little understanding of the difficulties they faced. Thanks to a special team of clinicians and staff, there now is a welcoming place for such patients: Learning And Developmental Disorders Evaluation and Rehabilitation Services (LADDERS), which is affiliated with MassGeneral Hospital for Children.
  • Silber memorial golf tournament hits home
    Golf season took on new meaning July 18 with the fourth annual Brian D. Silber Memorial Golf Tournament, which has become one of the top-netting charity golf events in the state, raising a total of $100,000.
  • Ives Erickson recognized for excellence, leadership
    Jeanette Ives Erickson, MS, RN, senior vice president for MGH Patient Care Services and chief nurse, has been awarded the annual Mary B. Conceison Award for Excellence in Nursing Leadership. The award salutes outstanding nurse leaders within the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives (MONE) and American Organization of Nurse Executives.
