Senior HealthWISE seminar
MGH Senior HealthWISE will sponsor "Safe Exercise for Individuals with Health Conditions" July 26, from 4 to 5 pm in the Walcott Conference rooms for seniors 60 years and older. Alison Bates, PT, DPT, GCS, and Kelly Macauley, PT, DPT, both from MGH Physical Therapy, will discuss safe exercises for people with common conditions including diabetes, osteoporosis and other ailments. Radiology equipment upgrade
Mass General Imaging in Charlestown will upgrade its clinical MRI magnet from July 19 through Aug. 1. It will not be operational during this time. The software upgrade will improve image quality and scan efficiency and is the second of three upgrades within the MGH system. During the upgrade, there will be sufficient capacity to handle patients at Mass General Imaging services in Chelsea, Waltham and at the main campus. The MRI magnet will return to normal operation Aug. 2. All MRI

Mood and Anxiety Disorders Institute seminar
The MGH Mood and Anxiety Disorders Institute (MADI) will sponsor "Multicultural Perspectives on Mental Health Practice" Aug. 13, from noon to 3 pm in the Ether Dome. This seminar will explore perceptions, presentations and treatment approaches to mental illness across cultures. Contact hours will be awarded. Registration is limited. August Vacation Club
The MGH Backup Childcare Center still has space available for the August Vacation Club Aug. 23 to 27 and Aug. 30 to Sept. 3, from 7:30 am to 6 pm. The cost is $275 per child for five days or $60 per child per day. Activities and trips planned include a day at the beach, Plaster Fun Time and a boat trip to George's Island. MGH Occupational Health Services to move
MGH Occupational Health Services (OHS) will be moving Aug. 23 from its current location on Clinics 3 to 100 Charles River Plaza, fourth floor. The OHS
provides medical services for all MGH employees with conditions resulting from exposure, injury or illness that occur because of work environment and/or job duties. For more information, call (617) 726-2217.
