Partners Telemedicine helps Greek hospital celebrate 30th anniversary

The Hygeia Hospital in Athens, Greece, which has had a collaborative relationship with the MGH and Partners HealthCare System since 1996, celebrated its 30th anniversary June 26. Partners Telemedicine, which currently provides remote medical services to patients at Hygeia Hospital, was invited to join the celebration via satellite.

"The relationship between Partners and the Hygeia Hospital has been centered around the power of telemedicine to help Greek doctors diagnose and treat patients," says Joseph C. Kvedar, MD, director of Partners Telemedicine. "By tying themselves to one of the best hospitals in the world, they have been able to position themselves as a leading health care provider in Athens. We are pleased to celebrate their anniversary with them."
